Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead project teams on building structures in the UAE, combining managerial oversight with strong technical delivery. The successful candidate will drive design calculations, drawings, and on-site quality control while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with local codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering; professional institute membership (ICE/IStructE) preferred.
Experience designing building structures in international design consultancies with increasing responsibility.
Experience in UAE with Dubai/Abu Dhabi codes and authorities is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead project teams on building structures schemes from concept to detailed design.
Provide structural analysis, design calculations, drawings, and risk assessments.
Ensure on-site inspection and quality control of works.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians and share knowledge.
Maintain design work within company quality standards and project budgets.
Coordinate with BIM team for model integrity and clash avoidance.
