Job summary

A leading company in the oil and gas sector is seeking a senior engineer specializing in rotating equipment for its Dubai operations. The role involves providing technical guidance, supporting major projects, and ensuring the maintenance and efficiency of rotating machinery. Candidates must possess a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 15 years of industry experience, with a background in handling safety-critical equipment and leading engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years rotating equipment experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Deep understanding of Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) and Performance Standards.
• Should have worked as a lead engineer with a consultant or operating company involving high-speed rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a lead role in Operations Support for the maintenance and operations of rotating equipment, including troubleshooting and timely resolution.
• Provide input and expertise into rotating equipment design, installation and commissioning perform technical reviews of critical engineering deliverables in Pre – FEED, FEED, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Projects.
• Development and input into engineering Philosophies, Standards and concept design related to rotating equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Job description

• Accountable member of the Onshore Operations Support Team.
• Provide technical and managerial guidance to senior engineers. Monitor the operation, maintenance, health, condition, and performance of rotating equipment.
• Provide expertise and fully support major and minor projects, drive the development and implementation of operations readiness deliverables associated with engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide a lead role in Operations Support for the maintenance and operations of rotating equipment, including troubleshooting and timely resolution.
• Provide input and expertise into rotating equipment design, installation and commissioning perform technical reviews of critical engineering deliverables in Pre – FEED, FEED, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Projects.
• Development and input into engineering Philosophies, Standards and concept design related to rotating equipment.
• Attend Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) and 3D model review workshops.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) attendance for critical rotating equipment packages.

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years rotating equipment experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Deep understanding of Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) and Performance Standards.
• Should have worked as a lead engineer with a consultant or operating company involving high speed rotating equipment with gas turbine and centrifugal gas compressor experience.
