Qualifications

Strong robotics engineering skills, including experience with teleoperation, robotic control systems, and sensor integration.
Proficiency in software development for robotics (e.g., Python, C++), middleware frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS2), and real-time communication protocols.
Background in data capture and processing, including designing pipelines for data collection, storage, labeling, and integration with AI/ML workflows.
Knowledge of computer vision or perception systems, working with cameras, LiDAR, or other sensors to support remote operation and environment understanding.
Experience leading technical projects or teams, making architectural decisions, and driving prototypes into robust production systems.
Familiarity with cloud services, APIs, and distributed systems for connecting robots to AI platforms and enterprise applications.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, and comfort working in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize robotic teleoperation and data capture solutions integrating with Cruq AI's agentic automation platform.
Work in a hybrid Dubai-based role, spending time on-site for hardware integration, experimentation, and team collaboration, with some work-from-home days for design and coding tasks.
Architect teleoperation systems, develop control and perception pipelines, implement data capture and labeling workflows, and ensure reliable connectivity between robots, sensors, and AI agents.
Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, lead prototypes to production, and establish safety, scalability, and performance best practices.
Mentor engineers, manage technical decisions, and contribute to long-term robotics-enabled automation roadmaps.
