Job summary

BeWunder is seeking a Technical Planner, Rigging in Dubai as part of the Design & Engineering team to develop safe, practical rigging solutions for Event Production projects from tender through onsite delivery. You will produce detailed 2D/3D rigging drawings in Vectorworks, use Braceworks for analysis, and coordinate with lighting, audio and video disciplines while upholding safety standards.

The role requires strong rigging planning experience and a Level 2 certification, with international

Qualifications

• Proven experience in rigging technical planning/design for live events or related industries.
• Strong understanding of entertainment rigging systems, loads and structural interfaces.
• Proficiency with Vectorworks and Braceworks for rigging calculations and load analysis.
• Experience coordinating rigging with lighting, audio and video disciplines.
• Riggers Training Level 2 certification is essential or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and design of rigging systems from tender to onsite delivery.
• Translate briefs into practical, safe rigging solutions.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D rigging drawings (Vectorworks).
• Perform rigging analysis and load calculations using Braceworks.
• Coordinate with lighting, audio and video disciplines across projects.
• Review drawings to identify constraints, loads and risks.
• Ensure designs meet scope, safety standards and client requirements.
• Support tendering and pre-production with concepts, drawings, calculations and specs.
• Work with suppliers, subcontractors and engineers to resolve technical requirements.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation and delivery.
