Job summary

Axiom Recruit is hiring a Head of Quant Strategy to build and lead an institutional-grade crypto funding arbitrage programme from the ground up. This hands-on leadership role oversees design, capital deployment, risk controls and live PnL while shaping the quant team.

You’ll own the strategy end-to-end across funding, basis and delta-neutral approaches, collaborating with senior leadership to scale a world-class trading operation in crypto markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in quantitative or systematic trading.
• Proven success running funding arbitrage, basis and delta-neutral strategies with real capital.
• Strong track record of profitable live trading with ownership of PnL, drawdowns and strategy performance.
• Deep expertise in perpetual futures, market structure, execution costs and risk management.
• Strong Python and quantitative skills across statistics, time series, optimisation and research.
• Experience from a crypto hedge fund, market maker, prop trading or HFT environment, with leadership skills to build and scale a quant function.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale profitable arbitrage strategies across spot, perpetuals and funding markets.
• Decide where to deploy capital, which venues to prioritise and when to scale.
• Build robust risk controls covering leverage, drawdowns, liquidation and exposure limits.
• Optimise execution and capital efficiency across CEX and DEX venues.
• Own live PnL and strategy performance, identifying when to scale, adjust or retire strategies.
• Lead and grow the quant team, working closely with Engineering to build a world-class trading operation.
