Job summary

A leading oil and gas firm in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Lead Proposal Engineer to guide multi-discipline EPC bid proposals and prepare technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and over 10 years of experience in the oil & gas sector. Strong multidiscipline technical knowledge and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in the Proposal/Estimation function in Oil & Gas sector.
  • Project management experience is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and a good team leader.

Overview

Job Description Lead Proposal Engineer- Lead multi-discipline EPC Bid Proposals- Study Tender docs in order to gain a clear overall understanding of the construction method.- Lead in issuing Subcontract ITBs. Attend Bid Clarifications. Evaluates Bid Tabs with recommendations, to include in Resume.- Review Material Bid Tabs to and make recommendation in Tender Resume.- Liaises with other departments to ensure Tech. & Commercial inputs issued on time.- Attend Client Meetings to clarify technical and commercial issues.- Prepares Cost Estimates on Tender Scope of Work.- Coordinate with Estimators to finalize manpower, paint and materials requirements.- Prepares Tender Resume (cost summary) for reviewing by Tender Committee and finalize.- Prepares Technical and Commercial Proposals and obtain Management approval in order to submit on time.- Following award of Contract, issue Handover Documents.- Interacts Client for reviewing and signing of final Contract Agreement.- Supervise, guide & appraise staff.- Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard / Quality Standards.
