Job summary

Pergola UAE is seeking an independent, technically competent Project Engineer to manage multiple projects from kickoff through installation, inspection, handover, and closeout. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with scope, programme, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Construction or related engineering preferred.
• Diploma may be accepted with strong demonstrated competence.
• Minimum of three years of project or site‑engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience with aluminium, steel, glass, pergolas, canopies, façades, shading structures.
• UAE or GCC construction‑site experience.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, main contractors, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Good spoken English and UAE driving license.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from kickoff to closeout ensuring scope, programme, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate handover with Sales and other departments for effective project handover.
• Conduct site surveys for quotations and ongoing projects, including measurements and interfaces.
• Prepare site sketches, photos, and technical data for Architects/Engineers; review drawings for accuracy.
• Identify risks and coordinate corrective actions and escalations.
• Confirm site readiness, access, materials, and installation sequence before mobilization.
• Supervise site staff and subcontractors with clear technical instructions.
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, specs, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates and issue resolution.
• Monitor progress against programme and manage manpower, deliveries, and productivity.
• Drive handover and closeout activities to completion.
