About the role

This is a high-impact role at the heart of our fintech journey. Your work will define how millions of users send money seamlessly and securely across borders. We are hiring a strategic product leader to own and scale Careem Pay's remittance product. This is a high-growth business that plays a critical role in enabling seamless financial access across the region.

Since its inception, the Send Money product has achieved market fit and accelerated growth to become the fastest growing product at Careem Pay. You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for cross-border money movement. Your work will directly shape how users across the region send and receive money with speed, security, and confidence. This role will focus on building and improving our Send Money rails in the UAE for various receiving countries. You will work closely with the partnership team to understand local payment schemes and collaborate with engineering to build direct integrations. You will drive the performance of our money movement infrastructure across markets, focusing on transaction speed, cost reduction, reliability, and customer experience enhancement.

What you'll do

• Own the efficiency and resilience of money movement rails in the UAE.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve money movement, reducing delays and pain points while making the process more affordable and seamless for customers.
• Own KPIs for the send money product in the region, including cross-currency and same-currency payments.
• Build and lead a roadmap focused on improving speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction, ensuring each release brings measurable improvements.
• Collaborate with banks, regulators, and internal teams to integrate directly with local payment schemes for faster, secure money movement.
• Take full ownership of your product area throughout its lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.
• Work with multiple stakeholders across the business and share progress, challenges, and product direction with senior leadership.
• Manage the product roadmap and delivery, setting high standards for customer experience and ongoing enhancements.
• Launch new remittance corridors with reliable, fast delivery.
• Reduce send money costs across key corridors.
• Achieve over 95% transaction success rate.
• Enhance customer satisfaction with a frictionless money send experience.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 7 years in product management, with at least 2 years in Fintech managing complex products.
• Experience in remittance domain is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance or related exposure is relevant.
• Experience with payment infrastructure is advantageous.
• Proven ability to thrive in a high-growth, startup environment.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and product optimization.
• Experience building Send Money products is a plus.
