EDGE in Abu Dhabi seeks a highly experienced Principal Engineer - Power Electronics to lead the design and development of advanced power electronics subsystems for mission-critical applications, focusing on high-frequency power conversion, motor drives, embedded motion control, and analog/digital power electronics solutions.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through testing, certification, and deployment, with

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in power electronics development, with expertise in high-frequency power conversion and motion control systems.
• Strong background in analog, digital, and embedded control system design, integration, verification, and testing.
• Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Altium, and other power electronics design and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of power electronics subsystems, including high-frequency power converters, motor drives, and control systems.
• Develop and validate designs using simulation, modelling, and testing tools to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with system requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers on power electronics design, testing, and best practices.
• Drive technology development initiatives and contribute to long-term engineering strategies, capability growth, and product innovation.
