Job summary
EDGE is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – Power Electronics based in Abu Dhabi to lead the design and development of advanced power electronics for mission-critical applications. You will oversee high-frequency converters, motor drives, and embedded control systems across the full product lifecycle.
You will provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers while shaping future technology roadmaps and driving innovation in a global team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- 12+ years in power electronics development with high-frequency power conversion and motion control experience.
- Strong background in analog, digital, and embedded control system design, integration, verification, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and optimization of power electronics subsystems for mission-critical applications.
- Validate designs using simulation, modelling, and testing tools to ensure performance and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers in power electronics.
- Drive technology initiatives and contribute to long-term engineering strategies and product innovation.
