Job summary

ETAP is seeking a Lead Engineer in the UAE to drive the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of Power Automation solutions, including SAS, SCADA, and Control Center systems. You will lead engineering efforts, coordinate FAT/SAT, and ensure robust security and reliability across OT networks.

The role requires 8–10 years in Power Automation, with expertise in IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, and related protocols.

Qualifications

Graduate in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years in Power Automation, SAS, SCADA, or electrical control projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of Power Automation solutions (SAS, SCADA, Control Center).
Engineer and integrate SAS/SCADA/Control Center systems (IEDs, RTUs, PLCs, relays, meters, HMI).
Lead PMS and Generator control functions (synchronization, load sharing, island/grid operation, AGC).
Design, configure, validate Load Shedding schemes (UFLS/UVLS, fast shedding).
Configure and troubleshoot OT networks (TCP/IP, VLANs, PRP/HSR, gateways, firewalls).
Lead OT cybersecurity and IT infrastructure configuration (RBAC, hardening, patching, remote access).
Prepare FAT/SAT testing and site commissioning, including failures and redundancy tests.
Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer.
