Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of relevant planning/scheduling experience in EPC projects.
  • Strong grip on Primavera P6, project controls, and construction workflows.
  • Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Petrochemical retrofits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated EPC schedules (Level 1–4) using Primavera P6/MS Project.
  • Track project progress, prepare S-curves, EVM reports, and analyze schedule variances.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams for schedule updates.

Are you an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in EPC retrofit projects within the Oil & Gas or Power sector?

Descon’s Industrial Services Division – UAE is hiring a Lead Planning Engineer – EPC Retrofits to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in Primavera P6 and eager to play a pivotal role in high-impact brownfield projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage integrated EPC schedules (Level 1–4) using Primavera P6/MS Project
  • Track project progress, prepare S-curves, EVM reports, and analyze schedule variances
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams for schedule updates
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation plans
  • Support cost control, claims, and final account preparations

Ideal Profile:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
  • 8–10 years of relevant planning/scheduling experience in EPC projects
  • Strong grip on Primavera P6, project controls, and construction workflows
  • Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Petrochemical retrofits
  • PMP or similar project control certification (preferred)
