Lead Offshore Construction Engineer (Marine and Subsea )

B.Sc. Engineering from a recognised university, preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Naval.
8 years’ experience in the offshore construction sector with strong technical knowledge.
Commercial awareness and cost effectiveness.
Good influencing ability.
High standard of written and spoken English.
Good report writing skills.
Very good communication skills and a committed team player.
Natural decision maker.
Flexibility and willingness to relocate to remote onshore locations or offshore.
Ability to manage operations with a diverse multicultural, multinational workforce.
Ability to work under pressure and take ownership to interface with all disciplines.

Responsibilities

1. Review Project SOW and project document/drawings deliverables.
2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the SOW.
3. Review installation procedures to ensure they fully cover the project requirements and contractual scope of work.
4. Ensure installation procedures receive no comments or minimal comments whenever submitted for external approvals (i.e. MWS/Client).
5. Improve the quality of documents over time.
6. Follow up the barge/vessel progress on a daily basis to ensure that the offshore progress is developing as per the agreed time schedule and resolve any technical issues arising during the physical execution of the offshore work.
7. Ensure smooth running of the project in line with the approved time schedule with no NPCC caused delay/down time.
8. Review the mobilization plans to ensure proper execution.
