Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Lead Software Engineer (.NET) to drive a major modernization effort and guide architecture across .NET Core, databases, and frontend integrations.

You will lead a globally distributed engineering team, influence technical strategy, and ensure reliable delivery while coaching engineers and enhancing delivery processes. This is a remote role with UAE-based expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong background in .NET, with C#, .NET 8, and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with web app architecture, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in containerized environments.
• Proven ability to refactor monoliths into microservices.
• Experience leading engineering teams and Jira-based delivery management.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Redis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monolith-to-microservices modernization initiative.
• Review requirements with Product and Architecture teams.
• Avoid legacy dependencies and develop realistic engineering estimates.
• Guide architecture across .NET Core services, databases, and frontend integrations.
• Serve as escalation point for backend, data migrations, and performance issues.
• Improve delivery practices and Jira-based estimation and discipline.
• Lead one-on-one meetings for career development and team engagement.
• Drive continuous improvements to processes and collaboration.
