Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Subsystems (Navigation) to lead the delivery of navigation subsystem programs in a highly technical, mission‑critical environment. This role drives projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• 8+ years of hands‑on project management experience within Defence, Aerospace, Navigation, Avionics, Electronics Systems, or Safety‑Critical Systems sectors.
• Proven experience managing complex technical development programmes.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex Navigation Subsystem projects from concept through completion.
• Define and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support system engineering, testing, quality, and configuration management plans.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements, technical specifications, and organisational standards.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align project outcomes with business objectives and customer expectations.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and resource utilisation to ensure on‑time and cost‑effective delivery.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish effective project governance, reporting, and communication processes for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project changes and ensure appropriate controls are in place to achieve project objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct project reviews, audits, and health checks to ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Mentor and support junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices in project management.
