Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Systems Supervisor to lead installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on infrastructure projects at a UAE site. You will review drawings, coordinate with civil, electrical, and other trades, inspect installations, and ensure adherence to approved specs and timelines.

The role requires hands-on supervision, experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, and strong quality and safety focus. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Supervise installation of mechanical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, structural, and utility works.
• Inspect installation of pumps, valves, tanks, pipelines, and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor installation of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and ITPs.
• Inspect delivered materials and equipment for compliance with approved specifications.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Witness testing, commissioning, pressure testing, flushing, and performance testing.
• Coordinate equipment installation, alignment, connections, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, clashes, and site constraints.
• Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and design changes.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical and construction reports.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and commissioning documents.
• Conduct inspections and prepare snagging/punch lists.
• Assist with handover and final acceptance of mechanical systems.
• Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely closure of NCRs and site observations.
• Support the project team in achieving quality, schedule, and construction objectives.
