Job summary

Egis Group in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain seeks an experienced Material Engineer to ensure construction materials meet project specs, municipal standards and quality requirements throughout the lifecycle.

The role focuses on material approvals, testing coordination, and compliance with Abu Dhabi and Al Ain municipalities. Requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8+ years in infrastructure material engineering within the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Material Engineer on infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Experience on Abu Dhabi Municipality or Al Ain Municipality infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction materials specifications and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with municipality approval processes and material submittal procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and approve construction materials for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and submit material approvals, technical submittals and related documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors regarding material specifications and approvals.
• Monitor material testing activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards.
• Ensure all materials used on-site meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks as required.
• Maintain records of material approvals, test reports and quality documentation.
• Support project teams in resolving material-related technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
