Job Purpose
Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance work teams and Man-Machine Interface System (MMIS) activities to ensure that all job tasks are performed in a timely manner with the requisite quality, achieving operational readiness, and operating the plant with the highest safety and reliability standards. Review maintenance work packages and documentation to ensure and improve quality. Support the Quality Assurance (QA) process, follow regulatory requirements, operating policies, nuclear standards for safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection to meet overall business objectives.
Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability
Leadership/Supervisory Support
- Stand-in for the Supervisor or Head (FIN) during their absence to ensure supervisory support is available.
- Support team leadership during field work in the plant.
- Lead maintenance teams as needed to ensure supervision in the absence of a supervisor/Head.
- Demonstrate high standards of Human Performance, Maintenance Fundamentals, and LEAD behaviors for competent supervision.
- Maintain and develop technical competencies per training matrices.
Instrumentation MMIS Maintenance
- Lead and perform instrumentation maintenance and surveillances on MMIS systems for safe, reliable plant operation.
- Review work packages for operational and outage maintenance to enhance system availability.
- Participate in technical reviews of service contracts and manage contractors for best practices.
- Review outage plans and schedules for process understanding.
- Manage spare parts inventory, especially critical spares, to ensure system operability.
- Implement updates to maintenance and surveillance procedures for safety.
- Review and incorporate equipment master lists into the Operation Management System (OMS).
- Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) and Corrective Action Program (CAP).
- Support self-assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot MMIS systems and equipment to resolve issues promptly.
- Attend pre- and post-job briefings, oversee maintenance tasks, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Document equipment history and perform necessary clearances for maintenance.
Responsibilities & Accountability (contd.)
Quality Assurance
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards, complying with QA programs.
- Oversee contractor activities related to MMIS maintenance.
- Engage in industry best practices for quality maintenance.
- Identify and address quality issues and equipment deficiencies.
- Collaborate with QA, FANR audits, and international reviews to adopt best practices.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
- Support outage and emergency response activities to ensure safe, reliable operations, including shift/off-hours support if required.
Professional Certifications & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Certification
- 8 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a nuclear power plant
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
