The key objectives for this role are :
  • Safely and effectively deliver a portfolio of Brownfield Safety Critical Projects on offshore platforms within UAE under an EPCM contracting model.
  • Manage overall delivery of an asset, including Construction and Commissioning activities, logistics, and materials management.
  • Provide certainty to the Client and Project Sponsor on safety, optimization, cost, risk, schedule, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

  • Single-point responsibility for all Instrument and Controls System design and engineering, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and policies.
  • Define plant controls architecture.
  • Coordinate I&C team and report to Project or Engineering Manager.
  • Support planning, scheduling, and execution of discipline activities, including estimating and bid support.
  • Manage I&C schedule, manpower, and daily supervision.
  • Report progress and manage budgets, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
  • Identify concerns, recommend corrective actions, and participate in project meetings.
  • Ensure team competency and define third-party pre-qualification criteria.
  • Liaise with vendors and OEMs, manage third-party scope, and evaluate bids.
  • Review vendor documents and contribute to EPC scope and tender packages.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines during all project phases.
  • Support site activities like material inspection and factory acceptance testing.
  • Manage change processes and technical queries.
  • Participate in safety and design reviews.
  • Ensure work quality and schedule delivery.
  • Liaise with client operations and maintenance teams.
  • Own risk management for discipline-specific activities.
  • Promote safety, provide technical solutions, and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Capture and share lessons learned.

Expected :

  • Experience in ADNOC offshore brownfield projects.
  • Knowledge of Fire & Gas Detection, Protection, and Suppressant Systems.
  • Design and installation experience to SIL 3 standards.
  • Experience working with OEMs for design, interface, and testing.
  • Experience replacing obsolete F&G systems in live environments.
  • Package management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electronics from an accredited university.
  • Minimum five (5) years in similar roles managing teams in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • Experience with FEED, detailed design, and EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in tendering and supply chain for I&C equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of DCS, ESD, F&G, and SCADA systems.
  • Participation in P&ID, HAZOP, SIL reviews; approval of work.
  • Experience working in the Middle East is advantageous.
