Job summary

Dhafir Technologies L.L.C. seeks an experienced I&C Lead Engineer to design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for petrochemical projects. You will lead the I&C team, review designs, and ensure compliance with ISA/IEC standards.

The role requires 10+ years in instrumentation and control, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD, PLCs, and DCS systems. Willingness to travel to project sites in oil & gas environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, / Electrical & Instrumentation, UAE Equivalency mandatory
• Master in Instrumentation Engineering / PE license or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, focus on petrochemical projects
• Strong knowledge of ISA, IEC, ANSI standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLC programming, DCS systems
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the I&C engineering team to ensure successful delivery of project milestones
• Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, construction, and other engineering disciplines
• Develop and review detailed design specifications, engineering documents, and drawings
• Select instrumentation and control systems and components to meet project requirements
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
• Review vendor offers, prepare Vendor Technical Clarifications and Technical Bid Evaluations
• Hands-on experience in conceptual and detail engineering for field instrumentation, control, monitoring, and safety systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) in onshore/offshore environments; telecommunication systems knowledge is desirable
• Prepare instrumentation deliverables (specifications, datasheets, logic diagrams)
• Check sizing calculations for valves, flow meters, and power systems
• Provide technical guidance and risk assessments
• Coordinate with vendors and clients to progress design scopes
• Develop testing and commissioning plans and ensure calibration and operation of equipment
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
