Lead HVAC Commissioning Engineer - Abu Dhabi

Oil and Gas Sector

Experience - 15+ years

Long Term Contract

  • Lead and coordinate HVAC commissioning activities across all phases of the project.
  • Review HVAC system designs, drawings, and technical documents for compliance and constructability.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and method statements.
  • Manage functional testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance verification of HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, control systems, and pressurization systems.
  • Interface with EPC contractors, construction teams, QA/QC, and vendors to ensure commissioning readiness.
  • Conduct HVAC system balancing, airflow testing, and control integration checks.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning records, test reports, punch lists, and handover documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of HVAC experience, with at least 7 years in a commissioning role within oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems in hazardous environments (e.g., ATEX-rated areas, offshore platforms, LNG plants).
