Qualifications

• Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery with Hand Surgery subspecialty.
• Fellowship training or recognised Hand Surgery subspecialty.
• Tier 1 qualification (ABMS, Canadian RC, UK CCT/CCST) where applicable.
• 3–5 years of post-specialisation Orthopedic Surgery experience in Hand Surgery.
• Eligible for Consultant licensing with DHA/DOH/MOHAP.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.
• Perform hand and wrist surgeries per clinical expertise.
• Evaluate fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compression, and soft tissue injuries.
• Manage traumatic hand injuries and complex orthopedic cases.
• Treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and other hand disorders.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of surgeons and therapists.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Participate in governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support clinical education, training and departmental development.
