Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Principal Engineer – Guidance & Control in Abu Dhabi to lead the development and validation of advanced G&C systems for guided weapon platforms. You will mentor diverse engineering teams, oversee SIL/PIL/HIL verification, and drive adoption of cutting-edge algorithms.

You will shape technical strategy, collaborate with test teams, and contribute to future technologies while delivering robust, verified solutions in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in guided weapon systems or related complex systems.
• Strong technical expertise in Guidance & Control, including algorithms, modeling & simulation, tracking, estimation, optimization, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Guidance & Control systems, including algorithms, modeling & simulation, tracking, estimation, optimization, and verification.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers across levels, supporting decision-making and best practices.
• Lead verification and flight-test activities (SIL/PIL/HIL), pre-flight prep, flight testing, performance verification, and post-flight analysis.
• Advance G&C capabilities, including tools, laboratories, methodologies, and exploration of new technologies and algorithms.
