Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Field Engineering Manager to lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers across the UAE. You will coach teams to deliver complex, value-driven solutions and collaborate with partners and customers to drive revenue.

You will mentor and grow the UAE pre-sales team, align with Sales to close deals, and represent Databricks in regional leadership discussions and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
• Experience in consumption-based business environments.
• Have experience mentoring and scaling technical teams.
• Success in instituting processes for technical field members to lead efficiency and product focus.
• Ability to partner and collaborate with Sales and other cross‑functional leaders.
• Passionate about data and AI market and Cloud software models and delivering a strong POV on value of Databricks solutions.
• Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies or Data Science.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience dealing with clients in UAE.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor and grow the pre‑sales team for the UAE market
• Build a motivated collaborative culture within a hyper‑growth team to embody and promote Databricks customer‑obsessed, teamwork and diverse culture
• Support increased return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles
• Ensure a solution and value‑based selling within the field‑engineering organization
• Display an understanding of needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
• Engage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
• Ensure close alignment with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accounts
• Continue to build Databricks' brand as a member of the Leadership team in partnership with Marketing and Sales teams across the region
