Lead Engineer Associate II (Alarm Management) - UAE National Only

The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

The incumbent will work in a project environment—from study phase through designing, implementation, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of Alarm Management solutions primarily in the Middle East Region. Standardization and project productivity are key goals. AMS solutions may interface with various source systems using industry-standard protocols like OPC and ODBC. Candidate should have sound knowledge of these protocols.

The candidate will apply software technologies to develop Alarm Management solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemical, and Minerals, following initial training. Deployments may be on-premises or in the Cloud.

This is a direct staff position with billability to external and intercompany projects, and customer support services, averaging ≥ 90%.

The applicant will report directly to the Engineering Manager for Alarm Management.

Key responsibilities
  • Approximately 40% travel mostly within the Middle East & Africa region.
  • Collaborate with lead or senior engineers to design and deliver projects. Independently deliver assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Support development of various technical specifications and provide expertise for AMS applications.
  • Establish design acceptance with customer stakeholders and communicate process and system impacts clearly, highlighting benefits and value.
  • Ensure quality through appropriate test scripts, data, logs, and defect tracking.
  • Participate in critical project activities, ensuring customer buy-in and acceptance.
  • Support change management, including business process diagrams, training, and best practice documentation.
  • Share technical knowledge within the project team and across disciplines.
  • Communicate technical issues early and effectively with the internal team.
Key skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, IT, or similar.
  • Preferably holds industrial IT certifications (e.g., MCTS SQL Server, XML Services, Python, or modern programming languages).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize key issues effectively.
