A leading engineering company in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, focusing on the design of electrical systems and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include coordinating requirements across disciplines, developing design documents, and providing technical support during procurement and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering for oil & gas EPC projects.
• Proficient with electrical design software and instrumentation configuration tools.
• Solid understanding of hazardous area classification and related project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical power distribution systems, control systems, and field instrumentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ATEX/IECEx regulations.
• Develop electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable sizing calculations, protection coordination studies, and load lists.
• Lead instrumentation deliverables, including I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and hook-up drawings.
• Coordinate electrical and instrumentation requirements with process and mechanical disciplines.
• Review and approve vendor documents for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Provide technical support for procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
