About Wynn Al Marjan Island

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer ELV to join the resort’s Facilities team.

The Primary Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Are

  • Oversee the commissioning, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnostics of ELV systems including BMS, SCADA, PLCs, PA/GA, access control, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and lighting control systems.
  • Ensure full system integration with building automation platforms, and maintain centralized visibility for energy, life safety, and comfort systems.
  • Conduct daily inspections of ELV installations, monitor asset condition, and ensure uninterrupted operation of control rooms, MCCs, and field panels.
  • Analyze trends in system performance, modify preventive maintenance scopes, and implement upgrades that reduce reactive interventions.
  • Supervise all life cycle planning, from component aging reviews to technology refresh schedules for ELV platforms.
  • Ensure readiness of emergency and life safety ELV systems through routine testing, simulation drills, and compliance verification.
  • Lead the specification and validation of ELV hardware and software during system upgrades, retrofits, and expansion projects.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor activities for system commissioning, testing, and third-party integration, ensuring quality and documentation standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, software updates, system faults, corrective actions, and equipment asset registers.
  • Ensure that all ELV installations comply with UAE regulations, Civil Defense codes, and relevant international standards (e.g., BS, IEC, IEE).
  • Support internal and external audits with complete documentation, system data, and validation reports.
  • Benchmark ELV system reliability, energy usage, and lifecycle KPIs against regional and global best practices for smart buildings.
  • Conduct ELV health audits and develop strategic upgrade roadmaps to maintain system readiness for future operational needs.
  • Collaborate with resort innovation teams and IT departments to align ELV improvements with enterprise platforms and guest applications.
  • Plan for cybersecurity considerations in networked ELV environments and work with vendors to implement system hardening where applicable.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Building Systems, or a related discipline. A Higher National Diploma (HND) with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in ELV systems maintenance and operations, including 5+ years in supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Experience managing ELV infrastructure during both operational and construction phases is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international ELV codes and UAE regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ELV systems: fire alarms, BMS, SCADA, PLC, lighting and audio controls, data cabling, CCTV, and access control.
  • Proficiency in preparing tender documentation, technical submittals, and evaluating vendor performance.
  • Familiarity with ELV testing tools, software diagnostics, and integration interfaces.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; Arabic or other languages a plus.
