Lead E&I Designer

Job Description

Wood is recruiting for a Lead E&I Designer to join its UAE Business Unit to carry out assigned Instrument design work as part of a multi-discipline project team.

This role is onsite in Dubai, UAE with Travel Requirement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned Instrument design work as part of a multi-discipline project team.
• Perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations as required.
• Provide discipline-specific design and drafting services that meet project, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering, and construction phases.
• Prepare and check all types of Electrical and/or Instrument design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Schematics, Layout Drawings, Termination Diagrams, Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Arrangements, Material Take-Offs, etc.
• Conduct interdisciplinary checks of Civil/Structural/Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawings.
• Review vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and may involve using 3D modelling tools like SP3D / PDMS.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote safe behaviour at all times.
