Responsibilities
  1. Lead and inspire a team of highly skilled architects and designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence in design.
  2. Develop and present building concept designs in line with the client's brief and to their satisfaction, whether for competitions, proposals, or delivery jobs.
  3. Oversee the entire design process, from initial sketches and 3D modeling to construction documentation, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  4. Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and consultants to translate design concepts into feasible and sustainable architectural solutions.
  5. Stay abreast of emerging trends, materials, and technologies in the architectural field, infusing innovation into all aspects of the design process.
  6. Conduct site visits and provide expert guidance during the construction phase, ensuring the integrity and fidelity of the design vision.
  7. Act as a key representative of our firm, fostering strong relationships with clients, and assist with winning new work.
  8. Provide support and design leadership for other GHD offices from time to time.
  9. Work with Project Directors, Project Managers, and others to deliver projects satisfactorily.
  10. Establish project delivery strategy and collaborate with the Project Manager on the job plan, quality plan, resource allocation, work briefs, and budgets.
  11. Organize and carry out peer reviews across disciplines for feedback during concept development and prior to submission.
  12. Introduce work practices that increase efficiency, productivity, and staff satisfaction.
  13. Direct technical performance on projects, monitor adherence to the Quality Plan, and take corrective action as needed.
  14. Invite client feedback to verify that needs are being met.
  15. Monitor financial performance and productivity on jobs.
  16. Liaise with Business Group Managers for resource and staffing allocation.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  2. Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in design architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  3. Strong design skills, focusing on innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
  4. Proven experience as a lead architect with a portfolio of successful projects.
  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  6. Extensive knowledge of local/international building codes, regulations, and practices.
  7. Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor teams.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. A keen eye for detail, commitment to quality, and problem-solving skills.
  10. Focus on client experience and needs.
  11. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  12. Adherence to GHD's values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies.
