Data Strategy & Architect Lead Location: Abu Dhabi| Contract - 6-12 months |
We're seeking a Head of Data Strategy & Governance to lead transformative data initiatives across the a government entity. This strategic role focuses on establishing robust data governance, enhancing operational readiness through AI-driven analytics, and integrating secure data solutions with technical partners to drive mission success.
Key Responsibilities:Establish and oversee data governance frameworks and policies aligned with defense modernization goals, regulatory mandates, and national security standards.Lead the development and execution of a data strategy that ensures compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and military data regulations.Optimize data management and analytics capabilities to improve mission-critical decision-making, operational readiness, and AI adoption.Act as a systems integrator, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external technical partners to deploy secure, scalable, and resilient data solutions.Leverage AI and advanced analytics to deliver insights that support real-time decisions
Required Experience & Skills:10+ years of experience in data analytics, data governance, or enterprise data management.Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief Data Officer or equivalent role in a large, complex organization preferably within defense, security, or government sectors.Proven track record in implementing organization-wide data policies, frameworks, and analytics strategies that comply with strict regulatory standards.Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into secure, high-stakes environments to support operational decision-making.Strong understanding of national cybersecurity, data privacy, and information assurance requirements in mission-critical settings.
