Job summary

Al Shindagha Museum in Dubai is seeking an experienced Visitor Experience Coordinator to guide visitors, deliver high-quality information, and coordinate educational programs and tours. The role collaborates with schools, tourism agencies, and events to maximize engagement.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with at least 5 years’ experience, excellent customer service, and strong communication skills to engage diverse audiences and maintain exceptional visitor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work within a team and make independent decisions.
• Ability to engage with visitors of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.
• Full knowledge of historical and heritage information.
• Clear and effective communication of information.

Responsibilities

• Guide visitors and accompany them inside the museum with high-quality service.
• Coordinate with schools/universities to organize educational programs and trips.
• Promote museum content during field visits and align with school syllabi.
• Handle reservations for school and tourist groups in line with events and schedules.
• Coordinate with Events Department to organize guided tours for events.
• Manage distribution and maintenance of speaking guide devices; arrange repairs if needed.
• Provide innovative ideas to attract more visitors to the museum.
• Schedule visits with tourism agencies for groups and ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare reports on educational programs and trips and their relevance to goals.
• Coordinate with exhibitions/collections for updated information on displays.
• Assist in receiving official delegations and provide exhibit information.
• Coordinate with museum departments on exhibitions, events and activities.
• Supervise cultural guides and reception staff; ensure coverage during events.
• Oversee training programs for staff to keep pace with developments.
• Provide daily/weekly information about staff activities to ensure best visitor service.
• Prepare daily visitor numbers reports for direct supervisor.
• Ensure safety and security of visitors and personal belongings.
• Accompany visitors and guide them through museum sections with required info.
• Respond to inquiries accurately and resolve complaints promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and museum policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
