The key objectives for this role are:
  • Design instrumentation systems meeting project specifications and operational needs
  • Supervise installation ensuring proper implementation according to design
  • Ensure instrumentation is calibrated and tested for optimal performance
  • Develop maintenance schedules and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous operation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support to project teams and maintenance personnel
  • Prepare detailed documentation including design specs, test reports, and procedures
Skills And Qualifications

Expected:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electronics from an accredited university, with 15+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 5 years in the GCC region
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar leadership role managing teams of specialists, senior engineers, and engineers in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
  • Offshore experience is mandatory; ADNOC experience is preferred
  • Experience with Offshore EPC projects
  • Familiar with international codes and standards
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with I&C equipment supply and assurance
  • Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA systems used in offshore projects
  • Participation in P&ID, HAZOP, SIL reviews; approval of work where needed
  • Experience working in the Middle East is advantageous
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Single-point responsibility for all Instrument and Controls System design and engineering compliance
  • Define plant control architecture
  • Coordinate I&C team and report to Project or Engineering Manager
  • Support planning, scheduling, and execution of activities, including estimating and scheduling for bids
  • Own the I&C schedule and planning
