Job summary

Combuzz HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial management of construction contracts from tender through final completion. You will work with the General Manager, Estimation, Procurement, Project Management, and Operations teams to manage risks, costs, contractual obligations, claims, variations, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction commercial management, at least 5 years in a Senior Commercial role, strong FIDIC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Master's degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise GM on commercial and contractual risks from tender to completion.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies for projects to maximize profitability.
• Review tenders for contractual risk, pricing, costs and margins.
• Oversee contract management from inception to close-out.
• Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors to protect company interests.
• Ensure contracts comply with policies including insurance, bonds, warranties and obligations.
• Maintain records of contract documents and communications.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide timely commercial reporting.
• Manage tender pricing, bids, cost control, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with project teams on progress, procurement, and subcontracting.
• Identify variances and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare interim valuations, payments, and final accounts.
• Manage and resolve disputes and variations.
