Job summary

WeConnect Energy, through its client in the UAE, seeks a Lead Commercial and Capital Structure to drive financial analysis, capital structuring, and investment case preparation. You will review financial models, assess project viability, and prepare business cases for approval.

Collaborating with internal teams and external lenders, you will lead due diligence, evaluate financing options, and support portfolio growth under senior leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in consulting, banking, or within utility, energy, or investment entities.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment analysis and financial modelling for new investments, including greenfield, brownfield projects, acquisitions, and divestments, assessing value creation potential, commercial viability, risk exposure, and strategic fit.
• Conduct detailed financial, commercial, and scenario-based analysis to evaluate investment performance, capital structures, financing strategies, refinancing opportunities, and downside risk cases to support informed decision-making.
• Support transaction execution activities including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, financing reviews, negotiation support, and coordination of multi-party processes across advisors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—finance, legal, technical, ESG, and asset management—to ensure alignment of assumptions, robust business case evaluation, and comprehensive risk assessment.
• Prepare investment memoranda, financial presentations, and strategic reports for senior management while engaging with external stakeholders—including lenders, investors, consultants, and offtakers—to support transaction and financing activities.

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Lead Commercial and Capital Structure opportunity for our client, an energy company in the UAE.

Purpose: To support the execution of commercial and financial analysis, capital structuring activities, and investment case preparation for the business unit by reviewing financial models, transaction projects, and finance documents, and preparing relevant business case documentation.
