Role

As a Business Analyst, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to define, analyze, and document business requirements. Your role focuses on identifying business needs, optimizing processes, and ensuring that solutions align with organizational objectives. You will gather and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and oversee the successful implementation of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead meetings with potential prospects and clients.
  • Understand different aspects of the LOE process.
  • Be point of contact between clients and managerial + technical teams for clarification of requirements. Gather specific requirements and scope from the customer.
  • Document them to lock the scope and provide a clear understanding to relevant stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and capabilities of creating required material to help team work out proposals and presentations to send to new and existing customers.
  • Assist TPM, technical and business teams with presentations content when required.
  • Stakeholder management with TPM, PDM and management.
  • Help maintain risk register, mitigation plan.
  • Assist TPM, PDM in planning & monitoring activities.
  • Review project documentation for other projects.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC.
  • Strong understanding of Agile framework.
  • Identify industry trends, tools for BA community.
  • All responsibilities of a senior Business Analyst.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance principles, types (proportional, non-proportional, facultative, treaty), and key industry trends.
  • Familiarity with major reinsurance companies and global reinsurance hubs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II and IFRS 17 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, business process modeling, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with digital transformation technologies (AI, big data, blockchain) is advantageous.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with reinsurance systems and platforms.
  • Familiarity with alternative capital and Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS).
  • Knowledge of industry challenges such as climate change, cyber risks, and pandemic-related impacts.
