Lead BMS Engineer, with a role focused on the effective technical delivery of Data Centre projects for the Digital Buildings Business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end implementation of BMS / EPMS solutions, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Candidate shall have a proactive customer-driven approach, demonstrating full ownership for execution of BMS / EPMS projects, including design, software, graphics, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems. Responsibilities:
- Implement BMS technical solutions for client projects using Schneider Electric's BMS / EMS software platforms.
- BMS Control system design, implementation, and documentation.
- Act as a technical lead on the project and be the single point of contact for the customer for all technical aspects.
- Prepare technical submittals (point schedules, system architectures, schematics, panel drawings, bill of material, sequence of operations, integration documents, FAT procedures, method statements, O&M manuals, training manual, etc.) adhering to Schneider Electric standards, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate preparation of software database, application programs, graphics, alarms, trends, schedules, etc.
- Site coordination with the customer to deliver the project based on specifications and compliance requirements.
- Supervise site installation and cabling works.
- Plan and schedule project execution, including participation in site coordination meetings.
- Support Project Managers in developing alternative solutions during change management.
- Collaborate with project manager and procurement team on purchasing activities.
Assist PM in material procurement.
- Record and communicate all engineering/technical issues or risks to the Project Manager.
- Provide feedback on manpower requirements.
- Lead onsite commissioning of the BMS, ensuring full operation as per specifications, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Ensure commissioning, testing, and final tuning are completed on time with proper documentation.
- Represent the company professionally, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance to team members.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in BMS, HVAC, or Controls/Automation; Schneider Electric experience preferred.
- Experience with complex BMS control solutions and data center industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BMS controls, HVAC, and some knowledge of Power Management Systems.
- Understanding of Building Systems Protocols and IP Infrastructure integration.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Desire for long-term career growth through learning and skill development.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site long-term.
- Valid UAE driving license.
