Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Assembler - Mechanic Technician to perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools, ensuring quality and safety on the shop floor. You will mentor teammates, interpret blueprints and technical documents, and conduct advanced pressure testing to meet stringent specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3 years of oil and gas equipment assembly experience. We offer flexible working patterns and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or engineering training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on mechanical assembly experience in oil and gas equipment.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting specialized machinery for completion tool manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Ability to mentor or lead a technical team; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 15 kg and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools to high industry standards.
• Lead or mentor less-experienced assemblers and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct advanced pressure testing and analyze results to ensure specifications and safety.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot special purpose machines for completion tools.
• Inspect, test, and calibrate assemblies to ensure quality and function.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Document assembly processes and test results; report findings and improvements.
• Champion safety procedures and foster a culture of safety on the shop floor.
