Our client, a leading entity in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Lead Airworthiness Engineer to join its dynamic team.

Experience working as a post holder or a CVE in a Part 21 J or G organisation

As a member of the Office of Airworthiness (OoA) within the Part/CAR21J Design Organisation (DO), you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with relevant procedures as defined in the Design Organisation Handbook (DOH), Design Organisation Procedures (DOP) and Technical Procedures Manual (TPM). You will play a crucial role in influencing the regulatory compliance and quality of design products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring new regulations and guidance materials issued by the Agency
  • Amending DOH, DOP and TPM as necessary
  • Ensuring all design activities are within the terms of approval specified in the design organisation approval certificate
  • Classifying changes and repairs designed by the organisation
  • Preparing compliance documents to demonstrate completeness and regulatory adherence
  • Submitting major change data to the Agency to acquire Supplemental Type Certificate
  • Maintaining and controlling design data archive and staff records by the Office of Airworthiness

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering specific training for DO staff
  • Supporting the Design Organisation contractor/subcontractor monitoring programme
  • Assisting with internal and external audits and implementing corrective actions
  • Handling responses related to failures, evaluations, and complaints from operations
  • Performing independent checking and verification of regulatory compliance
  • Ensuring original design data is secured and accessible

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in airworthiness, with a strong understanding of EASA Part 21 and/or GCAA CAR 21
  • Proficiency in airworthiness regulations (JAR/CS/FAR25) and DO Handbook procedures
  • Engineering qualification in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly as a post holder or Certification Verification Engineer
  • Understanding of the interfaces between EASA Part 21, Part 145, and Part M (and/or GCAA CAR 21, CAR 145, and CAR M) regulations
  • Ability to remain uncompromised towards certification despite time and project pressures
  • Exposure to cutting-edge aerospace projects
