Job summary

A leading aviation group in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage projects focusing on mechanical design, quality control, and operational safety. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with standards, and perform optimization analyses. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in related industries is required.

Qualifications

  • 9-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering (construction, HVAC, marine, power plants).
  • Strong background in ISO standards and UAE codes.
  • Professional certification (PEC, SPCO) is a plus.

Overview

Responsible for engineering and mechanical project management, focusing on mechanical design, quality control, safety, and performance optimization across mechanical, HVAC, and marine projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical engineering projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards, ISO, UAE codes, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs for static equipment, rotating equipment, HVAC and plumbing systems, and 3D BIM models.
  • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, performance analysis, and optimization modeling for power plants and cogeneration projects.
  • Conduct inspections, quality control, and compliance verification, including mechanical quality control activities, ISO standard inspections, and Integrated Management System implementation.
  • Supervise mechanical works execution, coordinate with stakeholders, manage documents, and provide technical authority.
  • Assist in cost estimation, review technical submittals, and support senior estimators.
  • Maintain safety standards, enforce safety policies, and provide training to junior technicians.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required). Advanced degree preferred.
  • 9-15 Years of mechanical engineering experience in construction, HVAC, marine, or power plant industries.
  • Strong mechanical design, BIM modeling (Revit, Navisworks), and simulation software skills.
  • Proficiency in performance analysis, optimization, and modeling in power plants.
  • Experience with ISO standards, UAE codes, and Integrated Management System implementation.
  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and client relations skills.
  • Professional certification (PEC, SPCO) and strong technical background in heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in English and maintenance tools.
