Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Sharjah is seeking a Laundry Attendant with an exceptional eye for detail and physical stamina to ensure all linen and guest items are cleaned, dried, and folded to the highest standards.

You will sort by colour and fabric, inspect for damage, operate washers and dryers, apply detergents accurately, and fold and store linens using the linen feeder and folder machines. The role demands standing most of the day and working around hot equipment.

Qualifications

• This is a physical role requiring standing most of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull heavy loads.
• May require bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Work around high temperatures near large laundry equipment.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills for chemical quantities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry by colour, fabric, and soil level.
• Inspect items for damage or stains and log exceptions.
• Operate washers and dryers per manufacturer guidelines.
• Add chemicals accurately in correct quantities.
• Fold and store linen using the linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder, and ironing machines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the laundry area.
