Job summary

Chedi Hospitality in Sharjah is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our luxury hotel team. You will sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute linens, towels and uniforms while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Responsibilities include operating laundry equipment safely, handling guest laundry, inspecting items for damage, and supporting housekeeping with timely service. Flexibility and physical fitness are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar in a luxury hotel.
• Knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care and stain removal.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience with guest laundry and dry-cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms and other laundry items.
• Handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning with proper identification, processing and timely delivery.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, missing buttons, tears or other defects and report issues.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, steam irons, pressing machines and other laundry equipment safely.
• Follow correct washing and drying procedures for different fabrics and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and storage spaces.
• Assist with maintaining par stock levels of linens, towels, uniforms and supplies.
• Keep records of laundry received, processed, damaged or returned when required.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues or shortages promptly.
• Support housekeeping with laundry-related requests to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform side duties and any additional tasks as assigned.

Must Have Requirements

• Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant, Laundry Assistant, or similar role in a luxury hotel, five-star property, or high-end hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, washing procedures, fabric care, and stain removal.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience with guest laundry and dry-cleaning procedures.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
