Job Description

1. Attend to all laundry and dry-cleaning operations, following hotel standards and procedures.
2. Follow linen and uniforms laundry flows, respecting established cycles and instructions.
3. Maintain full knowledge of textiles and their proper care.
4. Operate all machines and equipment with proper knowledge, care, and maintenance.
5. Handle and store chemicals properly, using correct formulas and adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Immediately report any damage or malfunction in laundry equipment or operations, including linen and uniforms status, to a supervisor.
7. Keep the working area and stores clean and organized.
8. Properly handle lost and found items.
9. Participate in monthly inventories.
10. Follow daily checklists.
11. Maintain proper telephone etiquette as per Sofitel standards.
12. Report any guest comments or complaints.
13. Respect schedules, deadlines, and terms as agreed with management.
14. Read and complete laundry logbooks and reports.
15. Be flexible and willing to rotate within different subsections of the Housekeeping Department.
16. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Assistant Laundry Manager.
