Job summary

Arada, based in the United Arab Emirates, seeks a Landscape Draftsman to prepare detailed landscape shop and construction drawings for site execution. You will translate design concepts into accurate drawings and coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, MEP, and site teams to reflect actual conditions.

You will develop as-built documentation, participate in handover activities, and ensure all drawings meet project standards.

Qualifications

Strong practical experience in preparing landscape shop drawings and construction drawings.
Experience in landscape construction and site execution with understanding of drawings at site.
Proven ability to coordinate drawings with site engineers, project engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and construction teams.
Experience preparing drawings based on actual site measurements and conditions.
Hands-on experience with project completion, snagging, as-built documentation, and final handover.
Strong design knowledge and ability to develop constructible landscape details.
Experience delivering drawings within strict project schedules.
Ability to review and incorporate consultant/client comments and manage revisions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Knowledge of other software like Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp is advantageous.
Strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction detailing, and technical drawings.
Ability to read architectural, landscape, civil, structural, and MEP drawings.
Understanding of drawing standards and revision procedures.
Qualification in civil engineering/landscape-related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant Landscape Draftsman experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed landscape shop drawings, construction drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings for site execution.
Develop drawings for landscape works including hardscape, softscape, paving, kerbs, planters, irrigation, drainage, site furniture, landscape structures, and external works.
Translate design concepts and engineering requirements into accurate construction drawings.
Coordinate landscape drawings with architectural, civil, structural, MEP, irrigation, and other disciplines.
Provide timely drawing revisions based on site conditions and comments.
Prepare and update as-built drawings reflect site changes.
Maintain drawing registers, revision records and document control.
Ensure drawings issued within project schedule to avoid delays.
Assist site team with drawings and clarifications during construction.
Review drawings against actual progress and implement approved changes.
Prepare final handover and as-built packages.
