Job summary

Fatherson International in Abu Dhabi invites an experienced Landscape Draftsman to translate concepts into precise CAD drawings for diverse projects. You will contribute to hardscape and softscape layouts, irrigation plans, and as-built documentation while aligning with UAE regulations.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of landscape drafting experience and hold a diploma or certificate in drafting or landscape design.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Drafting, Landscape Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Civil 3D, Revit or other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of landscape construction, planting design, irrigation systems, and site development works.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of hardscape materials, planting schedules, and irrigation layouts.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed landscape drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and construction details using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Develop hardscape and softscape layouts, planting plans, irrigation drawings, and landscape construction documents.
• Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for landscape projects.
• Interpret design concepts, sketches, specifications, and technical requirements provided by landscape architects and engineers.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, irrigation specialists, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in material estimation for landscape works.
• Update drawings based on design revisions, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and company drafting standards.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Support site teams by providing technical drafting assistance during project execution and handover.
