As a Landscape Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing and transforming outdoor environments, creating functional and aesthetically pleasing landscapes. Your role will involve a deep understanding of the natural environment, along with the creativity to design spaces that are not only beautiful but sustainable. You will work closely with customers, architects, and construction teams to bring landscapes to life that align with the client's vision while considering factors like budget and environmental sustainability. Your projects may range from residential gardens to large public parks or commercial properties. This position requires a blend of creative flair, practical knowledge of plants and landscaping materials, and excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping vision and project objectives.
• Create landscape designs and plans using digital software and manual drawing techniques.
• Conduct site analysis and surveys to assess existing vegetation and site conditions.
• Develop cost-effective budgets and timelines while ensuring design quality and site integrity.
• Select appropriate plants, trees, and other flora based on climate, soil, and aesthetics.
• Provide guidance to landscaping teams to ensure design plans are accurately implemented.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders to receive feedback and approval.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in landscape architecture and design.
• Maintain project documentation including contracts, design amendments, and project notes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source landscaping materials at competitive prices.
• Incorporate sustainability practices in designs for environmentally responsible landscapes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and client expectations are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Designer or similar role in landscape architecture.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and planting in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and collaborative teamwork.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmental regulations in landscaping.
