Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to support major transportation, road infrastructure and utility projects in the UAE. The role will be based on-site and will supervise landscape construction works, ensuring compliance with design intent, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of landscape architecture and site supervision experience.
• Mandatory UAE experience on transportation, roads, highways, infrastructure and utility projects.
• Strong consultancy-side construction supervision experience.
• Experience supervising landscape and irrigation works on infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of UAE authority requirements and construction standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Experience with engineering consultants on major road, transport, utility and infrastructure projects in UAE.
• Extensive site-based supervision experience.
• Candidates with building project backgrounds or contractor-only experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise landscape construction works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship related to landscape installations.
• Review and verify materials, planting specifications, irrigation systems, hardscape elements, and associated landscape works.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare inspection reports, snagging lists, and progress assessments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary supervision teams including roads, utilities, civil, and infrastructure engineers.
• Ensure landscape works are executed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals related to landscape works.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and provide recommendations to maintain project progress.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support project closeout activities, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
