Job Description:

Land Surveyor

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for a talented Land Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will perform field work as part of a survey crew, conducting various surveying activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Interface with clients and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete surveying tasks on schedule, within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels; verify service locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support fieldwork; maintain all survey information (field books, sketches, calculations).
• Measure work completed as required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in preparing ‘as-built’ drawings.
• Participate in health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Resident Engineer and Safety Officer.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma in engineering with at least 10 years of land surveying experience or a civil engineering degree with at least 8 years of surveying experience.
• Knowledge of CAD software, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Understanding of construction sequences and standard procedures.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management and staff.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Knowledge of construction sequences and standard procedures is preferred.
• Abu Dhabi Authority approvals are preferred.
• A UAE driving license is mandatory.
