Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks an experienced Land Surveyor to support bridge construction and maintenance projects. The role focuses on surveying accuracy, setting out works, and coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment with drawings.

The successful candidate will bring strong field skills and knowledge of modern surveying tools. Applicants should have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Surveying and at least 5 years of UAE experience in bridge or infrastructure projects, plus

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in bridge construction, maintenance, infrastructure, or civil projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience in setting out and surveying works for bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of surveying methods, calculations, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License and own car are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land and engineering surveys for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction projects.
• Perform site surveys, measurements, and setting out works as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates for project activities.
• Carry out topographic surveys, alignment checks, level surveys, and as-built surveys for bridge structures and related works.
• Prepare survey reports, drawings, and documentation accurately and maintain proper survey records.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate execution of works.
• Verify site dimensions, levels, and positions of structural elements before and during construction activities.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other survey instruments.
• Ensure survey activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation.
• Identify and report any discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
