Job summary

IRTH Group is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join our construction team in the UAE, focusing on high-rise tower projects. You will measure, establish positions, elevations, and coordinates on-site, ensuring alignment with approved drawings.

You will operate Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and AutoCAD, prepare survey reports, and work closely with Site Engineers and QA/QC to maintain accuracy and safety throughout all setting-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a main contracting company.
• Experience in high-rise tower construction and setting-out.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and interpreting drawings (IFC/shop drawings).

Responsibilities

• Carry out land and construction surveys for high-rise projects.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, control points, grid lines, and reference levels.
• Perform setting-out for foundations, columns, walls, slabs and structural elements.
• Conduct verticality checks and alignment surveys.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join our construction team, support the execution of high-rise tower projects in the UAE. He / She will be responsible for accurately measuring and establishing positions, levels, elevations, and coordinates on a construction site. In high-rise tower projects, the Land Surveyor plays a critical role in ensuring that structural and architectural elements are constructed in the correct location, alignment, and elevation as per approved drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate land and construction surveys for high-rise building projects.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, control points, grid lines, and reference levels.
• Conduct setting-out works for foundations, columns, walls, slabs, structural elements, and architectural works.
• Perform verticality checks and alignment surveys for high-rise structures.
• Take accurate measurements and verify dimensions, elevations, coordinates, and levels against approved drawings.
• Coordinate closely with Site Engineers, QA/QC, Planning, and Project Management teams.
• Review approved IFC drawings and ensure all setting-out activities are carried out as per project requirements.
• Prepare survey reports, records, and as-built information as required.
• Conduct periodic checks to ensure construction works remain within the required tolerances.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, ensuring proper calibration and accuracy.
• Identify and report any discrepancies between drawings, site conditions, and executed works.
• Support quantity measurements and other survey requirements when required.
• Ensure all survey activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a main contracting company.
• Strong experience in high-rise tower construction is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in building setting-out, structural surveying, levels, coordinates, and verticality checks.
• Proficiency in Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and other surveying equipment.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to interpret IFC/shop drawings.
• Familiarity with construction tolerances, benchmarks, grid systems, and as-built surveys.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams.
• UAE construction experience will be an advantage.
