Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a senior Data Modeler to own conceptual, logical and physical models across the lakehouse, ensuring governance and stability. This role collaborates with data architects, engineers and analysts, and focuses on standardization, metadata alignment and semantic layers for Power BI consumption.

Candidates should demonstrate six-plus years in data modelling, strong SQL, and hands-on use of Erwin/ER/Studio tools with Purview publishing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data modelling on data warehouse, lakehouse or analytics programs.
• Expert in conceptual, logical and physical modelling including Data Vault.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Spark/Delta on Azure/Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience publishing models to Purview and using modelling tools (Erwin/ER/Studio/SqlDBM).
• Knowledge of Power BI data models and master/reference data modelling.
• Familiarity with UAE data regulation and DAMA CDMP is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and logical modelling with business analysts and data owners.
• Design physical lakehouse models including star/snowflake schemes.
• Apply modelling standards, naming, data types and SCDs.
• Produce and maintain source-to-target mappings for data engineers.
• Define master/reference data models and GIS/semantic layers for analytics.
• Publish models to Purview and align to business glossary.
• Govern model changes and obtain sign-off in governance reviews.
• Tag attributes for PDPL and related privacy/regulatory controls.
